What could be better than sleeping in on a weekend? Barcino in Santolan Town Plaza is making a pretty strong case for starting weekends bright and early with Desayuno.

Yup, Barcino isn’t just for tapas and nightcaps anymore. A step inside Desayuno transports you to a garden on a rosy morning, with family or friends gathered around the table sharing stories over hearty Spanish-style breakfast.

This weekend, set your alarms for the most important meal of the day at Barcino. Here’s a peek into some of the Desayuno menu items breakfast lovers and early birds can look forward to:

Panaderia

It’s hard to not have a great day when you take a whiff and a bite of these (complimentary!) assorted specialty breads. If you can’t get enough of them, help yourself to an order of Cesta Variada de Bolleria (P320), which will give you six different kinds of freshly baked bread and pastry.

Cinnamon Tostadas (P370)

This lovely cinnamon toast topped with strawberry caramel and fresh cheese curd pairs well with a cup of Cafe con Leche (P120).

Champurrado (P380)

Celebrate Filipino and Spanish flavors with this comforting dish of puffed rice and Venezuelan chocolate porridge, dulce de leche, bacalao flakes and milk.

Desayuno Arroz Caldo (P480)

We bet that when Monday comes around, you’ll be daydreaming of this porridge with chicken, ginger, onion cracklings, and saffron. You’ll also be craving that separate serving of roasted chicken inasal all week.

Torta Espanola (P450)

This dish is your weekend on a plate: bright, colorful, and (ful)filling! You’ll be diving into this wonderful mix of chorizo, potatoes, bell pepper, onions, with a side of Barcino’s signature Spanish bread in no time.

Cava (P300)

Go ahead, treat yourself to a glass of Spanish wine! Don’t worry, no one will be judging. Drink as the Spanish do–after all, it’s the weekend.

Desayuno is available at Barcino Santolan Town Plaza on weekends (Friday to Sunday) from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended for the 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. slots.
